Right is a photograph of William Nixon born on the 16 March 1850 at Biddulph Moor. He was the 2nd child of Jonathan Nixon born in 1830 and Ann nee Green born 1828. They had married in 1847 at St Mary's Church, Astbury near Congleton. Jonathan was eldest son of William Nixon born 1811 and Mary Hulme.

This shows William Nixon at his farm on Hot Lane Biddulph Moor. William married Sarah Ann Mellor on 16 March 1874 at Christ Church Biddulph Moor. They had four children Lydia, Jonathan, William and Ernest. William died in 1928. Sarah died in 1938. They are buried at  Christ Church, Biddulph Moor.

Ernest Nixon born 1880 at Biddulph Moor married Phoebe Ann Bailey in 1900 at Rushton Church. They had four children, Florence, Elsie, Phoebe and James. Right is Phoebe Nixon born 1904 on her marriage to Neville Brooks in 1930 at Biddulph Moor.
