Welcome to our Web site!

This site is being developed to give a flavour and insight into our 25 years research of Family History. Please use the links on the left or the bottom of each page to find out about our ancestors. There is more detail about the "Doorbars" and "Knappers", clicking on the link to Other Family Names give some information and pictures about other branches of the family. Our Latest Addition

"Knappers", "Doorbars" and the rest

To get the site up and running we decided to concentrate on one name or family. The Knapper family was chosen as it is one of the smaller ones and also it is local to where we live in Congleton. A picture of a family life over the past 300 years.

We have followed this up with the details of a one name study of the Doorbar family which originates from the Biddulph area. And finally our other family names.

Here we have our latest family member, our first grandchild.

Stoke City Connection

Names appearing most

Yes Phil is connected to the greatest football team in the world. He is married to Kath. Kath has a third cousin once removed called Jacqueline. Jacqueline has a husband called Ron Bradley. Ron's great uncle was Jimmy Bradley who made 199 league and 27 FA Cup appearances for Stoke City.
